Fordell is a rural community in the Whanganui District and Manawatū-Whanganui region of New Zealand's North Island.
It is on the Marton-New Plymouth railway line east of Kaitoke and north of Whangaehu.
Kaitoke-Fordell statistical area covers 261.31 km2 (100.89 sq mi)[2] and had an estimated population of 1,960 as of June 2024,[3] with a population density of 8 people per km2.
The percentage of people born overseas was 10.7, compared with 27.1% nationally.
Although some people chose not to answer the census's question about religious affiliation, 50.7% had no religion, 38.1% were Christian, 2.0% had Māori religious beliefs, 0.5% were Hindu, 0.7% were Muslim and 1.0% had other religions.
