Fort Shaw is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cascade County, Montana, United States.
[3] Named for a former United States military outpost, it is part of the Great Falls, Montana Metropolitan Statistical Area.
First called Camp Reynolds, Fort Shaw is named for Col. Robert G. Shaw of Boston, the first white officer to lead a unit of the United States Colored Troops in the American Civil War.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.6 square miles (15 km2), all land.
Fort Shaw is part of the Sun River Valley School District.
