Frajštajn (pronounced [ˈfɾaːi̯ʃtai̯n], German: Freistein[3][4]) is a former settlement in the Municipality of Slovenska Bistrica in northeastern Slovenia.
[6] Frajštajn lies northwest of the village center of Spodnja Polskava, along Mill Creek (Slovene: Mlinski potok), east of the A1 freeway.
[4] Frajštajn was annexed by Spodnja Polskava in 1955, ending its existence as a separate settlement.
[8] Frajštajn Castle is a three-story rectangular structure (with an addition on the back) that was built in the Renaissance style around 1570 on the site of an earlier structure called Rosenberghof, which had burned.
