Francis Doyle Gleeson

Francis Doyle Gleeson SJ (January 17, 1895 – April 30, 1983) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.

Francis Gleeson was born on January 17, 1895, in Carrollton, Missouri, to Charles and Mary (Doyle) Gleason, but later moved with his family to Yakima, Washington.

Gleeson then attended Marquette Catholic High School in Yakima before entering Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.

[1] On January 8, 1948, Pope Pius XII named Gleeson as titular bishop of Cotenna and vicar apostolic of Alaska.

Thirty-three men from villages such as Stebbins, St. Michael and Hooper Bay, accused Joseph Lundowski of multiple attacks.
