Francis R. Reiss

Francis Ronald Reiss (born November 11, 1940) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.

[2] Reiss was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Detroit by Archbishop John Dearden on June 4, 1966.

He also received a Master of Divinity degree from St. John Provincial Seminary in 1974, and a Licentiate of Canon Law from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome in 1984.

[3][2] On October 10, 2014, Reiss announced the removal of Reverend Thomas Belczakas as pastor of St. Kenneth Parish in Plymouth.

On November 11, 2015, Reiss submitted his letter of resignation as auxiliary bishop of Detroit, as required on his 75th birthday, and Pope Francis accepted it that day.
