Frank Brady Sr.

A fourth great nephew, Frank, won the FAI Cup with Shamrock Rovers in 1968.

At the time he was in dispute with his club, Fordsons, having been dropped for an FAI Cup replay against Shelbourne on 16 January.

He took no further part in his club's successful cup campaign and did not retain his place until after his return from Italy.

In the subsequent game against Italy he played at right-back and, despite finishing on the losing side, put in an impressive performance.

Playing as a left-back, Brady captained a team that also included Tommy Muldoon, Mick O'Brien, Joe Kendrick, Harry Duggan, Bob Fullam and Bill Lacey.
