Frank G. Clarke

Frank Gay Clarke (September 10, 1850 – January 9, 1901) was an American politician, lawyer, and a United States Representative from New Hampshire.

He was appointed Colonel on the military staff of Governor Hale and served in that capacity from 1885 to 1887.

[2] Elected as a Republican to the Fifty-fifth and Fifty-sixth Congresses, Clarke served as United States Representative for the second district of New Hampshire from March 4, 1897, until his death.

[3] Clarke died of an aneurysm in Peterborough on January 9, 1901[4] (age 50 years, 121 days).
