Francis James Kelly (23 December 1910 – 6 July 1982) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood, Melbourne, Essendon and St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
Used on the wing or as a centreman, Kelly played his junior football with Collingwood and was promoted to their seniors in 1930.
In 1938 he was reported on three occasions: Cleared from Essendon in April 1940,[12][13] he captain-coached Port Melbourne in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) for two years—which included the 1940 VFA premiership.
[14][15] In 1942 he returned to the VFL and joined his fourth club, St Kilda, for whom he kicked 21 goals that year and would captain in the 1944 season.
[18][19] He enlisted in the Second AIF in January 1942, served overseas in New Guinea, and was demobilized in October 1945.
