Frank W. Durkee

Frank Williams Durkee (October 5, 1861 – May 21, 1939) was an American college football player and coach and chemistry professor.

He served as a player-coach at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, in 1887, compiling a record of 4–6.

[1] He was also a team captain on the school's baseball team in 1888.

[2] Durkee was a member of the faculty at Tufts for 50 years, and was head of the chemistry department.

[3] He died of a heart attack on May 21, 1939, at his home in Medford.
