Fruitland [fruːtlɪnd] is a city in Wicomico County, Maryland, United States.

As of the census[4] of 2010, there were 4,866 people, 1,840 households, and 1,223 families residing in the city.

There were 2,045 housing units at an average density of 541.0 per square mile (208.9/km2).

23.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

Climate is characterized by relatively high temperatures and evenly distributed precipitation throughout the year.
