Established in 1920 is one of the oldest schools in Malappuram under the government of Kerala.
By that time, the school had become the center of literacy for people in most parts of the district.
The first LP school in Kalpakancheri was established by Malabar Wana British Government after the reign of Tipu Sultan.
The school has witnessed the production of many prominent figures in the fields of politics, social culture and education.
During the 1980s, the institution gained the reputation of being the largest number of Muslim girls studying in the district.
