Gajoldoba

Gajoldoba or Gojaldoba is a village at the Rajganj CD block of the Jalpaiguri district in the state of West Bengal, India.

The total number of literate people in Gojaldoba Tea Garden was 3,166 (70.40% of the population over 6 years).

[6] In 1985, The Teesta Barrage was built here by Jessop for irrigation purposes, with its reservoir becoming both a popular tourist attraction and a bird watching centre.

The Baikunthapur Forest, surrounding the reservoir, is said to have been chosen by Lord Krishna and his principal wife and queen Rukmani as their hiding place.
