Galatea Ranzi (born 24 January 1967[1]) is an Italian film, stage and television actress.
Born in Rome, Ranzi studied acting at the Accademia Nazionale di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico, graduating in 1988.
[2][1] Ranzi made her film debut in 1993, in Paolo and Vittorio Taviani's Fiorile,[2][1] and for her performance she was nominated to Nastro d'Argento for best actress.
[3] In 2005, she was nominated to David di Donatello for best supporting actress thanks to her performance in Giuseppe Piccioni's The Life That I Want.
[4] In 2014, she was nominated to David di Donatello for best supporting actress for her performance in Paolo Sorrentino's The Great Beauty.
