Galt is a city in eastern Grundy County, Missouri, United States.

[6] Galt is located just south of Missouri Route 6 one mile west of the Grundy-Sullivan county line.

28.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

The racial makeup of the city was 98.55% White 0.36% Native American, and 1.09% from two or more races.

About 18.9% of families and 23.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 37.0% of those under the age of eighteen and 15.4% of those 65 or over.
