Garkan Rural District (Persian: دهستان گركن)[3][a] is in Garkan-e Jonubi District of Mobarakeh County, Isfahan province, Iran.

[5][b] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 8,892 in 2,344 households.

[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 9,296 in 2,904 households.

The most populous of its 23 villages was Fakhrabad, with 1,862 people.
