Gdańsk County

Gdańsk County (Polish: powiat gdański) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Pomeranian Voivodeship, northern Poland.

It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998.

The county seat and only town in Gdańsk County is Pruszcz Gdański, which lies 12 kilometres (7 mi) south of central Gdańsk.

The county covers an area of 793.17 square kilometres (306.2 sq mi).
