Geisel Privathotels

Geisel Privathotels is a privately owned hospitality group founded in 1900 operating three hotels and a restaurant in Munich, Germany.

[1] The Geisel Family began working in the hotel and restaurant industry at the beginning of the 20th century by managing the Löwenbräu beer tent at the Munich Oktoberfest as of 1900.

In 1945, Hotel Excelsior had been confiscated and used as command headquarters by the Allied Forces.

By 1950, Hotel Königshof had been rebuilt and subsequently underwent another major redesign between 1970-1972.

[4] Also in 2020, the group closed its two Michelin star restaurant Werneckhof in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
