George E. Hinman

George Elijah Hinman (May 7, 1870 – March 19, 1961) was an American lawyer and politician from the state of Connecticut.

King in Willimantic and in 1897 and 1898 took a special course at the Yale Law School, where he won the Thompson Prize for scholastic achievement.

Hinman was active in the Republican Party and served as secretary of the state central committee from 1902 to 1914.

In 1914, Hinman received the Republican nomination for Connecticut Attorney General, serving in that post from 1915 to 1918.

On February 13, 1919, he was appointed a judge of the Superior Court for an eight-year term beginning the following August 23.
