After his clerkship, Wu was in private practice in Los Angeles, California.
[6] Wu was nominated by President George W. Bush on January 9, 2007 to serve as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California,[7] to a seat vacated by Judge Ronald S.W.
[8] He was confirmed by the United States Senate on March 27, 2007,[7] and received his commission on April 17, 2007.
