George J. Hazel

He previously served as the chief deputy state's attorney for Baltimore, Maryland.

Born in New York City, Hazel received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude, from Morehouse College in 1996.

[3] He began his legal career as an associate at the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, in Washington, D.C., from 1999 to 2004.

From 2011 until his confirmation as a federal judge in 2014, he served as chief deputy state's attorney for Baltimore, Maryland.

[4] Upon his swearing in, Hazel was told he was the youngest United States district judge.
