George Rogers Clark Floyd (September 13, 1810 – May 7, 1895) was an American politician and businessman.
He married Ellen Mead and they had eight children, including John B. Floyd (November 13, 1854 – April 15, 1935) who also went to serve in the West Virginia House of Delegates and West Virginia Senate.
[4] He operated a coal and salt property in Warfield, Kentucky, but the business did not do well.
Augustus C. Dodge, of Iowa brought forward a joint resolution in the United States Senate on July 12, 1852, for the "relief of George R. C. Floyd, late Secretary of Wisconsin Territory, and sureties..." It was referred to the Committee on Finance.
[6] It passed the Senate, for on July 27, 1852, it was presented to the United States House of Representatives.
