Sir George Samuel Elliott (1847 – 4 May 1925) was a British businessman and politician.
[1][2][3] Born in Islington, he was educated at the City of London School and entered business as a refreshment contractor with premises at Upper Street.
[7] He was later described as an "Independent Progressive", and at the 1901 election was returned unopposed, taking the Moderate whip.
[3][1][2] As mayor during the First World War he was largely responsible for raising the 21st (Service) Battalion (Islington), The Middlesex Regiment.
[12] He married Elizabeth Frances Hellier, Upottery, Devon and the couple had six children.
