George Thomas Washington

He received a Bachelor of Letters in law from Oxford University in 1931 on a Rhodes Scholarship.

He was Chief of the United States Lend-Lease Mission in Tehran, Iran from 1943 to 1944.

[3] Washington received a recess appointment from President Harry S. Truman on October 21, 1949, to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, to a new seat created by 63 Stat.

He was confirmed by the United States Senate on April 28, 1950, and received his commission on May 1, 1950.
