A native of England, Lidster began his career playing professionally in Europe for Newcastle United F.C.
He will be succeeded by Assistant Coach and former GW player and captain Craig Jones at the start of 2012 season.
George Lidster also earned his 200th win in the final regular season game, which saw the team capture the title and a second place bid into the A10 Tournament.
