German frigate Baden-Württemberg

Baden-Württemberg (F222) is the lead ship of the Baden-Württemberg-class frigates of the German Navy.

Baden-Württemberg was designed and constructed by ARGE F125, a joint-venture of Thyssen-Krupp and Lürssen.

[1][2] Baden-Württemberg was laid down on 2 November 2011 and launched on 12 December 2013 in Hamburg, Germany.

[6] In 2024, Baden-Württemberg was selected to undertake an around the world deployment, accompanied by the support ship Frankfurt am Main.

[9] On its return journey, the frigate avoided passage through the Red Sea due to its inability to counter potential threats posed by Houthi rebels.
