Gero Storjohann

Gero Storjohann (12 February 1958 – 29 January 2023) was a German politician who served in the Bundestag from 2002 until his death in 2023.

A member of the Christian Democratic Union, Storjohann had served as the vice chairman of the Committee on Petitions from 2005.

[5] He focused on the improvement of transportation in Schleswig-Holstein, expansion of bicycle roads and safety of cyclists.

[3] In June 2017, Storjohann voted, against his party's majority, in favor of Germany's introduction of same-sex marriage.

[6] Ahead of the CDU's leadership election in 2018, he publicly endorsed Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer to succeed Angela Merkel as the party's chair.
