Gilles Le Gendre

[1] He lost his party's renomination ahead of the 2024 snap election, when he unsuccessfully ran for a third term in office.

[2] In Parliament, Le Gendre served as a member of the Committee on National Defence and the Armed Forces.

In July 2019, Le Gendre voted in favour of the French ratification of the European Union's Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with Canada.

[4] He stepped down in 2020 as group president and was succeeded by former Interior Minister Christophe Castaner.

Instead, the Ensemble coalition nominated Jean Laussucq,[5][6] who won the seat in the 2024 snap election.
