Giuseppe Bruno (cardinal)

Giuseppe Bruno (30 June 1875 – 10 November 1954) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church[1] who served as Secretary of the Sacred Congregation of the Council and as Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura.

He was educated at the Seminary of Acqui and the Pontifical Athenaeum "S. Tommaso d'Aquino" where he earned a doctorate in philosophy.

He continued his studied at the Pontifical Athenaeum "S. Apollinare" where he became a Doctor of Sacred Theology (S.T.D.

He was appointed Secretary of the Pontifical Commission for the Authentic Interpretation of the Code of Canon Law on 14 February 1924.

He was created Cardinal-Deacon of S. Eustachio in the consistory of 18 February 1946 by Pope Pius XII.
