"[6] Glenwood City is the site of the annual St. Croix County Fair.

It was once a stop on the Wisconsin Central Railway, but the line to Glenwood City is now abandoned.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.49 square miles (6.45 km2), all of it land.

32.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 17.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 1,183 people, 460 households, and 305 families living in the city.

29.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 17.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

Glenwood City is home to the St. Croix County Fair in July.
