It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is an AICTE and BOTE approved educational institution in Tamil Nadu.

[1] Under Tamil Nadu State Government ownership, the college covers around 55 acres of land and ideally located at the suburbs of the Tirunelveli city.

There are Seven hostels namely; Manimuthaaru, Vaigai, Porunai and Kaveri (for boys) and Bhavani, Amaravathi and Narmadha (for girls).

The chapter arranges lectures, seminars, computer courses and conducts quiz events inviting connoisseurs.

Analytical and applied chemistry and forms an integral part of the first year curriculum led by Dr. Sophie Beulah.

Blood donation camp, first aid awareness program, guest lectures on health, cleanliness are conducted periodically.
