The college imparts the degree Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS).

The college is affiliated to University of Kashmir and is recognized by National Medical Commission.

GMC Baramulla has also Maternity and Paediatric Hospital associated with it, which is located a few kilometers away from the main campus.

Selection to the college is done on the basis of merit obtained in the NEET National Eligibility and Entrance Test.
