Eduardo Riedel's term as the 12th Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul began with his inauguration on January 1, 2023, Riedel, a social democracy from Rio de Janeiro who once served as secretary in Reinaldo Azambuja's government, took office after his victory in the state election in 2022.
