Grace Chalmers Paterson was a campaigner, suffragist, temperance activist and educationalist.

She campaigned for the improvement of domestic education for working class girls.

She was a friend and supporter of Janet Galloway and Christian Guthrie Wright, founder of the Edinburgh School of Cookery.
