Graeme Downie

Graeme James Downie is a Scottish Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Dunfermline and Dollar since 2024.

[1] Downie attended Craigmount High School in Edinburgh before reading Politics at the University of Stirling, graduating in 2002.

[2] He initially stood down from his role as Health Spokesperson but continued as a councillor then announced his resignation on 4 September 2024.

[5][6] In November 2024, Downie voted in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, which proposes to legalise assisted suicide.
