Grand Coulee, Washington

Grand Coulee is a city in Grant County, Washington, United States.

John Norman Abelson, molecular biologist, was born in Grand Coulee in 1938 According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.29 square miles (3.34 km2), of which, 1.19 square miles (3.08 km2) is land and 0.10 square miles (0.26 km2) is water.

[5][6] As of the 2010 census,[8] there were 988 people, 474 households, and 246 families residing in the city.

There were 554 housing units at an average density of 465.5 per square mile (179.7/km2).

40.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
