Gregory Alan Phillips (born August 17, 1960) is an American lawyer who serves as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and former Wyoming Attorney General.
Phillips was born on August 17, 1960, in Littleton, Colorado and grew up in Evanston, Wyoming.
He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1987, from the University of Wyoming College of Law, graduating Order of the Coif.
[3][4][5] On January 31, 2013, President Barack Obama nominated Phillips to serve as a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit to the seat vacated by Judge Terrence L. O'Brien, who assumed senior status on April 30, 2013.
His nomination was reported by the Senate Judiciary Committee by a voice vote on April 18, 2013.
