Grmače

Grmače (Slovene pronunciation: [ɡəɾˈmaːtʃɛ], in older sources also Grmača[1] and Germače[2]) is a former settlement in the Municipality of Moravče in central Slovenia.

[3][4] The area is part of the traditional region of Upper Carniola.

The municipality is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.

[5] Grmače lies in the extreme northeast of the village of Katarija, at the top of the Grmače Pass, which connects the Sava Valley with the Moravče Valley.

[6] Grmače was initially annexed by Češnjice pri Moravčah in 1952, ending its existence as an independent settlement.
