Gruffydd Evans, Baron Evans of Claughton

David Thomas Gruffydd Evans, Baron Evans of Claughton, DL (9 February 1928 – 22 March 1992) was a British solicitor and Liberal politician.

As Lord Evans, held the office of Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside.

As President of the Liberal Party in 1977-78, he played an important role in dealing with the fall-out from the controversy relating to the activities of former party leader Jeremy Thorpe.
