[3] Hagali Township was named for an early Norwegian settler.

The racial makeup of the township was 96.87% White, 1.88% Native American, and 1.25% from two or more races.

16.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
