Hagfors

Hagfors was one of the last places in Sweden to receive the formal title of a city, when it was detached from Norra Råda in 1950.

Today it is the seat of the much larger Hagfors Municipality, but is not an administrative entity of its own.

The official weather station is located in Gustavsfors, a rural locality 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) to the north at a similar altitude.

Given that Gustavsfors is located somewhat north and Hagfors being a little bit more urban, it is quite possible that the locality just reaches the continental threshold that would require 10 °C (50 °F) September mean temperatures.
