There were 1,650 housing units at an average density of 45.9 per square mile (17.7/km2).

There were 812 households, out of which 26.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.1% were married couples living together, 8.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.8% were non-families.

24.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

The township is served by two separate public school districts.
