Hamilton Township, McKean County, Pennsylvania

[2] According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 73.8 square miles (191 km2), of which 72.0 square miles (186 km2) is land and 1.8 square miles (4.7 km2) (2.44%) is water, most of that from Kinzua Creek, which runs from southeast to northwest in the township.

As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 637 people, 288 households, and 180 families residing in the township.

The population density was 8.8 people per square mile (3.4/km2).

There were 288 households, out of which 24.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.7% were married couples living together, 8.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.2% were non-families.

33.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 18.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
