Hamptonville is an unincorporated community located in southwestern Yadkin County, North Carolina, United States.

As of the United States 2000 Census, the Census-designated place (CDP) of Hamptonville (ZIP code 27020) had a population of 5,901.

The four-lane highways provide easy access to Charlotte to the south and Winston-Salem to the east.

Nearby towns/cities are: Yadkinville, Jonesville, Elkin, Statesville, Union Grove, Wilkesboro, Harmony and Boonville.

Hamptonville has a light business development that is primarily centered on the Rocky Branch Rd corridor and along US 21 at Brooks Crossroads.
