Hanover Eastern

Hanover Eastern is a parliamentary constituency represented in the House of Representatives of the Jamaican Parliament.

It was one of the 32 constituencies fixed in the new constitution granted to Jamaica in 1944.

[1][2] The constituency has featured in all 16 contested Parliamentary General Elections from 1944 to 2016.

[3] The current MP is Dave Hume-Brown, representing the Jamaica Labour Party, who has been in office since 2016.

[4] The constituency covers three electoral divisions – Sandy Bay, Hopewell, and Chester Castle.
