Harry Dowda

Harry Clinton Dowda (December 29, 1922 – June 24, 1996) was an American football defensive back in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins and the Philadelphia Eagles.

[1] He served three years in the Airborne during World War II, and saw action in the Battle of Bulge and Crossing the Rhine.

Dowda played college football at Wake Forest University.

In 1953, Dowda intercepted 5 passes and returned them 73 yards, scoring one touchdown.
