Hatfield, Wisconsin

Hatfield is an unincorporated census-designated place, in the town of Komensky, Jackson County, Wisconsin, United States.

It is located on the shores of Lake Arbutus, an impoundment of the Black River.

Hatfield is a tourist community that claims a population of 5000 in the summer and 50 in the winter.

[4] Two county campgrounds are located in the community, and the Levis/Trow trail system is two miles to the north.

[5] The city was supported in the 19th century by the logging and lumber industry, as the Black River was a primary avenue for delivery of logs from central Wisconsin to the Mississippi River valley.
