It is home to many wild animals including deer, monkey and birds.

Rajderwa was private hunting lodge of kings which includes a enclosure of wild boar, barking deer and nilgai.

The forest area got reduced due to deforestation and rampant hunting wiped out nearly all wildlife across the sanctuary.

[6] Nestling in low hilly terrain, at an average altitude of 615 metres (2,018 ft), it has an area of 184 km2 (71 sq mi) and consists of mixed deciduous forest with sal trees.
