The Hazen Coat of Arms portrays Renton’s coal mining and Boeing Aerospace connections alongside the school’s dedication to excel in pride, unity and achievement.

The school was built with a Cold War Institutional exterior with a Brutalist aesthetic.

Hazen High's Divina Voce Choir placed 1st in State in 2017 (under the direction of Mr. Viles).

Hazen has an extremely strong DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) chapter.

Each year, Hazen DECA members compete at the Area, State, and National Level.
