Hector, New York

Hector is a town in the northeastern corner of Schuyler County, New York, United States.

The region became part of the Central New York Military Tract, land used to pay soldiers of the American Revolution.

However, Hector (including the hamlet of Reynoldsville) was part of the adjacent Seneca County from 1804 to 1817.

The First Presbyterian Church of Hector was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

New York State Route 414 is a north-south highway the parallels the east shore of Seneca Lake.

20.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
