[4] The community was named in honor of Helen, the attractive wife of the original owner of the town site.

[6] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.5 square mile (1.3 km2), all land.

About 4.3% of families and 4.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.3% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those 65 or over.

This event is located on Depot Road at the Helenville Fireman's Park.
